The Maki-e craft will be completed in Japan, which is the first time that Vacheron Constantin finishes its part of watch manufacturing processes in other place rather then Geneva. In fact, the mysterious Maki-e craft can be traced back to the traditional lacquer decoration technics in ancient Japan.

The pine, bamboo and plum are the "three friends of winter". The theme of the first set Métiers d'Art La symbolique des laques Maki-e watch is their symbolic meaning. These three kinds of trees were introduced to Japan from China at an early age and received greatly in Japan like in China. As these three kinds of plants can all withstand cold weather, "three friends of winter" stands for longevity, which symbolizes a fair-weather friendship.

Pine is highly respected because of its longevity, tonicity and evergreen in winter. Bamboo is described as a gentleman, it can both adapt to the new environment and will not abandon the ideal. As pine, the crane is symbol of longevity and elegance. It is the most mysterious bird as the Phoenix in east legend. It is said that cranes can live thousands of years. But when it is 600 years old it will only drink cold water for a living. In Taoist mythology, the crane is angel. In addition to its mythical image, Japanese are attracted by its elegant and beautiful feather. In winter, all Japanese are looking forward to the advent of cranes. The collocation of Plum Blossom and Nightingale derived from Japanese culture. They are both messengers of spring: the first singing of Nightingale is called hatsune. Plum and Nightingale usually appeared in the art and poetry.

what is this type of kung fu?

okay so im walking down chinatown and i see this fancy cool gym.Now i was suppose to join Combined martial arts academy gym for bjj/muay thai...but later on i realized that im not really a fighter even tho those are for self defense there more for competing and ima face it im not a fighter never fought in my life so yea that martial art(s) not for me. So as im walking down chinatown to go buy a cool drink and food i see these really cool gym,i get the flyer thingy and its kung fu but here it say theyre classes they teach:

Da Cheng Quan(Yi Quan)
Hsing Yi Quan
Ba Gua Quan
Tai Chi Quan & Nei Gong

it also mentions like the master or grandmaster as it says here is a fifth generation northern praying mantis? like ihave no clue what these are all i know is the kung fu part.Do you guys know or have ever experience with those type of martial arts i listed above?

Yi Quan, Hsing Yi, Ba Gua and Tai Chi are excellent martial arts. I practice Tai Chi a lot and know as to just how great a martial art it is, in both practice and application.
Like CTC said, all but the mantis style is an internal system, which means that they're going to be focused on combining the breath with the movements and practice slowly, but with power.
