Which red-leaved shrubs grow well in chalky soil?

I am looking for some shrubs to plant in my newly landscaped garden but as we are almost on the South Downs, we have very chalky soil. We love the colour red and we are after shrubs which have red leaves all year round as opposed to those which only turn red in autumn. Any suggestions would be great!
Too vague for who George? Everyone else has managed to give me some perfectly good ideas!
