Baby Photos on Canvas- 5 Photography Tips

Baby photos are the absolute must haves, the photos that are so much a part of new family's life and an older family's memories. Their capture, presentation and quality is critically important. People also need to know how to manage these photos, and where to get advice. Canvas prints are great options for covering the whole spectrum of baby photo requirements.

Baby photos- fun and creativity

Baby photos are fun, whatever the situation. At all stages, babies know how to put on a show. At the adventurous stages of babyhood, baby photos can be an absolute scream, adorable and hilarious simultaneously. This is where your camera and your kid can go into collaboration to produce masterpieces.

Babies are pretty good creators of media content. You'll need a reliable camera with a good zoom, but they take care of everything else. If you've ever seen a "Baby meets puppy" event, you'll also know that these shows need to be well documented with good quality software as well as hardware.

Good digital technology allows parents to be very creative. A single shot can be great fun to work with, and a series of pictures can be real magic. When you get around to presentation, you can also be sure that canvas prints will do justice to them.

Settings, style, and content

When you're trying to run the show instead of baby, you can also work with composition. Settings like the play room, the yard, and other special places can be used very effectively in creating great pictures.

These pictures also require the star of the show to be in attendance, so check the areas for any hazards like slippery or messy areas, pointy or sharp things or overhanging things that aren't secure. Also look out for any exposure issues, lighting or highly reflective surfaces that may affect the pictures. Try a test shot first, so you're sure you've got it all right.

The big moments

The big moments, like first birthdays, first steps, and other events can be planned, in terms of photos. Clear the areas, round up the family and settle in for some good photographic work. These moments are real fun, they mean so much, and you can even show baby the snaps immediately.

Keep the camera handy!

You need to be alert for the unplanned moments. If you figure out what babies are capable of, the number of places they can get into and things they discover how to do, you'll see why you need to have the camera handy all the time.

This is more fun than anyone would believe possible, but you can get it all on camera if you keep the camera centrally located. Above all else, keep the camera battery charged.

I want to make a canvas still picture from a DVD but can't figure out how to...?

I had a DVD made for a skydive I did and thought that I could capture a still photo by printing the screen while it played on my computer, but it won't play.

Is there any other way I can capture a good picture?

DVD resolution is not good enough to print, even High Definition is still not good enough.

Screen grab won't work they have even less resolution (whatever your screen is set to)

If you have XP then you have Movie Maker. Import the video into that and drag to the timeline. In the preview window drag the slider under the viewer to the frame you want. Goto Tools>Take Picture from Preview and click on it. The Save As dialogue box comes up and you can save just that frame.

It will be low resolution and as most videos are panned you can expect some subject blur in the shot. Select a frame where the camera was still, most video frames are only 1/25th of a second so getting the subject sharp without blur will be a problem.

Good enough for web use, but no way good enough for printing I'm afraid.
