A question about abstract classes, interface and inheritance?

Ok. I have a public abstract class called "Device" and i have a public interface called "Installable" and i have a public class called "Peripheral". Now, my Pheripheral class does not have any of Device's methods in it and Pheripheral extends Device. I put super() in Pheripheral's constructor (device's constructor is default). So everything just works fine, compiles fine. But when i add implements Installable to Pheripheral extends Device. I get "Peripheral is not abstract and does not override abstract method uninstall(Computer) in Installable". I thought Pheripheral is considered as abstract when i extend it to an abstract class but it seems it does not. Can someone help me on how to get rid of this error?
Silly me, i forgot to add: I'm doing this in java.
