They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  I'm not sure what genius came up with that price tag.  But I am sure, if they're right, you better make it a thousand positive words, especially when it comes to your wedding.   Sure, it's a day you'll remember forever, but some candid wedding photography in San Francisco certainly won't hurt that cherished memory.

San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S.  Its rolling hills, waterfront location, and breathtaking architecture provide a marvelous backdrop for a wedding.  So, naturally, you want to capture this beauty in your San Francisco wedding photography.  And your best bet to blend the two together rests in Golden Gate Park.

Golden Gate Park encompasses everything that is San Francisco.  Culture, beauty, and serenity all reside in Golden Gate Park.  Where you choose to take your wedding photos in this 1,017-acre park is entirely up to you, but there are a plethora of options.  Some popular choices are the Japanese Tea Garden, Rainbow Falls, Stow Lake, Spreckels Lake, as well as the nearby Ocean Beach.

Before you know it, your wedding will have come and gone. What is the fastest way to Bart from Fremont to Golden Gate Park?

What is the fastest way to Bart from Fremont to Golden Gate Park. Which Bart station should I get off and what Muni to take and the stop? Thank You!
Which Muni should I take to get back to the Bart to go back to Bart Fremont? Thank You so much!!!

There are two ways.

If you are going specifically to the Academy of Sciences or DeYoung Museum (or nearby places), I recommend this:
1) Take BART to Glen Park (in San Francisco).
2) Cross Bosworth St. and wait at the 44 stop in front of Citibank. Take the 44 bus to the Academy of Sciences. (Note: The 44 northbound bus stops near the Academy of Sciences, and the 44 southbound bus stops near the DeYoung museum, which is across the concourse from the Academy of Sciences.)

If you are going elsewhere in the park (or to the museums and don't mind a bit of walking), do this:
1) Take BART to Embarcadero (in San Francisco).
2) Exit the BART paid area (but don't go outside) and enter the Muni Metro station. Take the N-Judah line outbound. When you reach the Sunset district, get off at the stop closest to your destination in Golden Gate Park, and walk a few blocks to the north. For visiting the museums, you should get off at 9th and Irving.

Regarding BART -- the procedure from Fremont depends on the day of the week, as follows:

Weekdays: Take the Daly City train.

Saturdays: Take the first northbound train that comes along. If it's a Daly City train, take it to your destination. If it's a Richmond train, transfer at Bay Fair to a Daly City Train.

Sundays: Take the Richmond train, and transfer at Bay Fair to a Daly City train.

To get back to Fremont, do one of the following:
1) Stand at the bus shelter near the DeYoung Museum, and take the 44 bus southbound to the Glen Park BART station.
2) Walk a few blocks south, and take the N Judah streetcar inbound to downtown, and get off at one of the stations that overlaps with BART. (I recommend getting off at Civic Center, but you can also get off at Powell, Montgomery, or Embarcadero.)

Note: The N-Judah runs on Irving Street to the east of 9th Avenue, and on Judah Street (which is one block south of Irving) to the west of 9th Avenue. You'll see the tracks, so it will be obvious whether you're at the right place. You can find maps of the N-Judah and other Muni lines here:

Once again, consult the BART site to see what trains to take back to Fremont for the particular time and day you plan to make the trip. (If there are no direct trains to Fremont from San Francisco, there will usually be announcements on the BART message boards giving instructions.)

A paper version of the Muni map can be purchased at the kiosk near the Powell Street cable cars at Fifth and Market (downtown).

(As AJ pointed out, you can also take the Muni 5 Fulton bus to the north side of the park, but I prefer the N or 44. The N is fast, and the 44 takes you directly to the museums. The 5 bus has neither of these advantages.)
