Kelowna Landscapers Doing Great Works!

Kelowna is located in the southern interior of British Columbia, Canada.  It is the 2nd largest metropolitan hub in British Columbia.  Situated right on the edge of Lake Okanagan, purportedly home to a giant sea monster named Ogopogo.

 

This is an awesome Place thanks to the many  landscapers who has done so much justice to nature's abundance available at this lake edge city.  The city's beautiful aesthetic appeal with the unique opportunity to experience all four seasons of spring, summer, winter and fall becomes the major attractions that draws many visitors to this city.  Any season, there's always something to do in this landscapers' paradise.

 

Spring is a fabulous time to visit the city when a foliage of greens and colorful flowers adorns the city.   Enjoy leisurely walkabouts around the parks or one can opt for the garden tours available to check out the thriving fruit orchards, lovely lavender farms, fragrant herbs and rose gardens and enjoy the elegant Japanese gardens and numerous English gardens along the way. Else, check out the many small and large vineyards with their wineries that offers tours, educational seminars and not to mention, samplings of internationally-acclaimed wines to boot.

 

As the season warms, many can head out to this restful getaway for the many outdoor and cultural activities readily for partake.  From hiking in the aromatic woodlands to golfing on the scenic fairways or be charmed by the inviting waters of the lake for some swimming, boating, waterskiing or simply lakeside camping on the white sandy beaches.  For a quieter sport, flying fishing would be a great alternative.  By winter, the snow-capped mountains are an invite for the extreme sport enthusiasts.  It's an exhilarating place to try out downhill skiing and snowboarding.  For those who want to enjoy the cold season in a slower pace, there are miles of awe-inspiring trails to see wildlife and take in the amazing view of the snowy landscapes.

 

For those who are not so much an outdoor person, visitors may opt for the museums, galleries, theatres or even a casino.  Strolling around to explore the cultural district of the city, one can enjoy the collections of indoor and outdoor arts with exceptional artworks, sculptures, and paintings.  The many parks also play host to the performing arts.

 

Festivals and events marked the calendar of Kelowna all year round.   Visitors will be surprised by the free activities and entertainment available at the Fat Cat Children's Festival.   Okanagan Pride Festival is an annual festival that celebrates solidarity, diversity and human rights provides for live entertainment while Park Alive is a non-profit program that promotes arts and culture throughout summer.   It offers a variety of entertainment for the young and old alike.    Mardi Gras street festivals call for fun under the sun with hives of activities continuing into the late evenings at the many downtown restaurants and pubs.   Sample award-winning wines at any of the three wine festivals held  annually.  Celebrate a fun-filled break in the city with loved ones downing great wines with fabulous local cuisines.

 

Visitors can also opt to visit the city's past at their many historical sites such as Father Pandosy Mission, an Oblate missionary founded in 1860 or the rail trail of Myra Canyon Trestles.  Then there's the Laurel Building that houses the wine museum.   Enjoy tantalizing cuisine at the Guisachan House Restaurant located at Guisachan Heritage Park or The Benvoulin Heritage Church, one of the most popular sites for weddings.

Is it possible to drive up to Spirit Lake by Mt St Helens in Washington?

I visited Mt St Helens the other day and am intrigued by the eruption and the landscape.

before the erruption of st. helens there were some camps up there, but I havn't been there in many years. sorry I couldn't be more help.
