Crown Paints And danfloor Develop Personal Approach To Get The Best From Colour

Crown Paints and danfloor UK, manufacturers and suppliers of impervious backed carpets, have joined forces to produce an online portal – designed to assist architects and designers with inspired floor and wall finishing choices - from a single point of contact.

The new Colour Configurator, available at http://www.danfloor.co.uk/colour-configurator pulls together the latest online technology to bring co-ordinated colours, patterns and textures directly to users' fingertips – enabling the selection of a carpet colour and recommended paint shade.

Targeted at the healthcare, education and commercial sectors, the Colour Configurator utilises the skills of experienced colour consultants at Crown Paints.

They have taken the latest influences and matched them with danfloor's new range of colours from Equinox and Equinox Tones - to get the ultimate, complimentary finish.

The process is simple, with users able to log on to the facility and select their ideal floor covering. This will then automatically populate their page with a selection of contrasting paint colours.

Colour cards and specifications can be downloaded and sample material can also be requested.

Inspiration comes from the 2011 edition of the Crown Paint's Colour Influences – which features vibrant shades, inspirational finishes and different textures to offer a personalised effect for public spaces, commercial environments and retail areas.

Produced by the Crown Paints' Colour Panel - a team of nine creative experts from backgrounds including design and architecture – the influences were unveiled at London's Chiltern Studio late last year and have gone on to inspire Crown Paints' portfolio across the professional sector.

Pride & Prejudice Painting?

There is a painting in the 1995 version of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth that has stumped my imagination, and it will not do! It looks like three dancing graces, perhaps, but there is a fourth figure in the background that lends itself to the possibility that they are dancing nymphs or dryads maybe. Who did this painting or any other information about that is useful would do much to ease the Lady Catherine in my mind.

It is seen in the drawing room of the Bennet's house in Longbourn and the best view of it is when Mr. Bennet is angry enough to forbid the attending of balls and other such nonsense.

Can be seen in this clip of the movie if you pause it.

The point of my search is I would like to find a print or at least clear picture of the painting in question.

I'm not understanding your concern. The English interiors of the mid-eightieth century often showed the eclectic tastes of that age. Fairies and dancing nymphs were often placed in Parlors or sitting rooms. I don't think anything would ease Lady Catherine. She was a very haughty woman.

Maybe by going through the painting's in early1800 famous artist of the era, you will find it. They had a lot painting from that period, painting was in a naturalist style, with woman prancing around fields, and May poles.
