Whats going wrong when I'm trying to get a white background on a portrait photo?
I have white background paper, 2 flash lights and an digital slr. When I try to get a high key photo with a nice white background it comes out in various other shades from white to purple. Why and how can I get white?
Keep your subject at least a couple of meters from the background and use one of your flashes to light the background itself and use a reflector on the other side of the flash used to light your model for fill in reflected light.
Of course good old Photoshop will come to your rescue if that fails.
