Scanning and printing art work quality?

If i scan my art work in with a scanner that is 4800 dpi and then print on a photo printer. what quality copy's will be produced? can anyone arrange to email me a picture scanned in on there scanner at a certain dpi for comparison?

It will print at 4800 x 1200. No problem.
