Are you familiar with the oil paintings? If not, I can tell you something about it. The history of oil painting goes back to very old times when man endeavored to detain his world and knowledge in paint. It was profound in the grottos of Southern Europe when man assorted animal fats with earth and stain to form what could be measured as the first oil painting. The painting was then altered onto the walls of the grotto, showing the life of human and animanls.
Oil Paintings are the stuffs of a certain time and certain set, and art history of course tries to place these works in their superior setting. Any body learning western art would study the styles of the Oil painting, Baroque, traditional, idealistic and Modern periods, and to know the complex interaction of consideration, support, civilization and monetary issues, which the oil paintings represent.
There are many painters in the world. Jean-Francois Millet was a famous painter of France in the modern period, he was called "Farmer Painter" because his oil paintings mostly focused on the farm work and farmers. I admire him very much. My favorite oil painting of his is 《The Gleaners》.《The Gleaners》 is an example of Realism, it depicts three peasant women gleaning a field of stray grains of wheat after the harvest. The painting is famous for monumentalizing what were the lowest ranks of rural society. This oil painting is the representative work of Millet, he didn't describe the women's faces and made them traditional farmers, diligent, modest and simplicity. The painting was received poorly by the French upper class. 《The Gleaners》 was also the inspiration for the name of the Gleaner Manufacturing Company.
There are a large number of oil paintings in the world, but not every painting would be appreciated by people. Per we have different characters, we are interested in different type of oil paintings. I am not only fond of Millet' oil paintings, but also crushing on the flower oil painting, ‘cause I like flowers. Nature is the most beautiful scenery of the world. Imagine that if you can see a landscape oil painting after a long day's work, your eyes can be relaxed. You may feel closed to the nature. In addition, most of us work in big cities, we are far away from the beautiful nature. Even if you can visit the countryside once a week when you are free, it is not enough to make you leisure. Then I come out an idea, you can put on an oil painting on the wall of your house. So you can see the fantasy nature immediately.

im a visual artist,been doing a number of paintings,hopefully,be able to launch a solo exhibit,maybe 2 years from now. im into realism oil paintings,also into sculpture but been focusing to finish my paintings first. im been dreaming of being able to stage an exhibit,and the outputs,i would like to establish a certain group or foundation which is more on charity. i know its a great undertakings to go,that's why im been keeping it by myself. but im very optimistic bout it. i would really appreaciate your kind help by giving me details of how to initiate my dream. it's a non-profit afterall. thank you and more power.
Decide what exactly it is that you want to start a foundation for; say the SPCA, for example. Then you write to them or call them and they will give you ideas on what to do.
