Things To Consider Before Choosing a Wall Painting
The number of people who now sees the beauty of hanging wall paintings on their walls are increasing. There are more and more people who are starting to express their artistic sides by hanging up wonderful paintings, may it be a reproduction of famous classical paintings or original masterpieces. Paintings altogether creates a large impact on the overall appearance of your room, house or office.
If you are just planning to put up wall paintings as decorations of your house, then you should be taking into consideration simple steps so that the painting you will hang will look absolutely perfect. You cannot make a painting look nice in your house, no matter how expensive or beautiful it is if you are just going to hang them carelessly on any wall of your home.
Although most of the time, paintings can look good just at any part of the house, there are still some that you cannot simply hang in your living room or your dining areas. There are places in the house where a certain painting will look very awkward.
Be sure not to hang really large paintings on walls that are not very spacious. This will create a feel that the painting is drowning the natural style and color of the wall or the other decors in that part. Also remember not to put extra small paintings on walls that are already pre-designed, or else, the painting will look out of place or completely lost in the wall.
Always bear in mind that the key for a painting to look nice in a room is if it complements the other furnishings and décor in the room. Where in the painting can stand out on itself but also, it highlights the other designs and decors of the rom. Placing a picture in a place or in a room that where in the painting is totally different from the rest of the things in the room will make the room look more disturbing than pleasing in one way or another.
Choosing wall paintings that will be hanged on your wall is not easy, you should determine what exactly you want to happen in that room before you actually look for paintings. You should figure out if the painting you will buy will blend nicely with the color of your wall or the color of the other things in the room. If you already know what exactly do you like, you can start looking for reproductions like that of Da Vinci's Last Supper or Mona Lisa or originals to display in your room.

Wall painting tips- how to go about painting small bed room?
I'm planning to paint a small bedroom a cozy dark red over it's current blue-green color. Will this be difficult?
I'm really just looking for tips from experienced people about how would be the best way to go about this. Thanks!

Use a good quality primer that is tinted a medium shade of grey. This will keep you from painting multiple coats of red paint. It doesn't matter if it's the best brand of paint on earth... you still need a good grey primer first! Let it dry a few hours, and then paint over with a nice quality paint.
Also, use good rollers. I recommend Purdy- they are dralon fabric, lint free, hold paint really well so you don't have to constantly reload to the tray, and it'll look like it was practically sprayed on, vs a little bit of texture from a medium grade or lower quality roller. They run a few bucks more than your average rollers, but it makes the job SO much easier... and you'll get much better coverage.
I recommend Valspar (Ultra Premium or Signature). For the finish, choose Flat or Eggshell (eggshell is easier to wash, but flat will be easier to touch up if you ever need to).
Wait a couple of hours between coats.
Don't be cheap with your applicators... rollers, brushes. Even your paint. It will make the job a nightmare and you'll get frustrated. You get what you pay for usually!
